Maldives

The boats dock right outside the Malé airport baggage claim to whisk tourists away to turquoise waters, white sand, and fabulous snorkeling. The Maldives are composed of a double chain of 26 atolls and thousands of islands, including coral, and is located southwest of India and Sri Lanka. Average elevation is barely 5 ft above sea level. It is the smallest country in Asia by land but spread across some 35K square miles of the sea.
