Lac Blanc, an alpine gem, is reachable in a day hike with a gondola, chairlift, and a moderate hike with 1200 ft elevation up to nearly 8000 ft, high above the town of Chamonix. Take the Gondola from Les Praz to La Flégère, chairlift to L’Index, and the hiking route to Lac Blanc.
